 Helping Support Communities in their
Struggle for Education

Who is CAFE?
CAFE stands for "Canadian Aid for Education." We are a non-profit, charitable organization based in Whitby, Ontario that supports education related projects in the developing world. It was started in 2002 by a group of concerned Canadians from the Toronto area who believe that education is essential for helping people to get out of poverty and begin to improve their lives.

Mission Statement: To seek participation and partnership in Canada and abroad to sponsor community projects which will enhance the development of the full potential of people in developing countries. It is our vision that by supporting people in their struggle for education, we may in some small way empower them to take control of their future.

Canadian Aid for Education Stands with Chile - Earthquake Relief
On February 27, 2010, a powerful 8.8 Richter earthquake and subsequent tsunami hit Chile, causing grave damage across the country. As Chileans begin to overcome the shock and pain of lost loved ones and devastated communities, and as many here in Canada wait for news from family and friends, we would like to ask you to help Chileans in a small way through supporting reconstruction efforts.

CAFE is going to support reconstruction efforts in Conception, one of the hardest hit regions of the country. We will help by raising funds for Chilean schools affected by the earthquake. Chilean school children were set to start the new school year this week, now hundreds of thousands of them have no place to learn.
